How to Fix Opera Browser Connection Reset Errors
Opera Browser connection reset errors can be caused by browser settings, device permissions, network conditions, account state, or an incompatible extension. The correct fix depends on where the symptom occurs. Use these checks in order, keeping your data and security settings protected.
Before you begin
Keep the browser version, device type, and exact error text handy. Save important bookmarks before changing or resetting a browser profile.
Step-by-step troubleshooting
- Step 1. Identify the exact symptom: when does Opera Browser connection reset errors happen, and does it affect every website or only one?
- Step 2. Check the current Opera Browser version and your device operating-system version. Note any error message before making changes.
- Step 3. Retry the page and test another reliable website.
- Step 4. Check VPN, proxy, network filtering, and the device clock.
- Step 5. Restart the browser and test the same action again. If the problem remains, compare with a new profile or private window where supported.
- Step 6. If you are using a work or school device, ask its administrator before changing managed policies.
What to check if it still happens
Compare the result on another trusted website and network. If the issue started immediately after an update, check the browser's current release information and device compatibility. If only one website fails, its server may be responsible.

It depends on the browser, device, and reset method. Back up data and confirm what a reset changes before proceeding.
When should I request more help?
If the problem continues after safe checks, note the full error message and request help without sharing passwords, one-time codes, or financial information.
